Reviews for Casa Mixteca
Review highlights
Based on 134 reviewsCasa Mixteca is widely recognized for its authentic Mexican cuisine, particularly dishes rooted in Oaxacan tradition such as mole, tamales, and lengua tacos. Customers frequently praise the restaurant for offering a true taste of Mexico, often comparing it favorably to eateries in larger cities known for Mexican food. The establishment also doubles as a grocery store, featuring a diverse selection of bottled salsas, fresh produce, and a skilled butcher, which enhances its appeal. While some find certain menu prices a bit high, the quality of meats and flavors generally justify the cost. The staff's courteous and professional service rounds out a positive dining experience that resonates strongly with patrons seeking genuine Mexican flavors in the Seattle area.
I stopped by the other day to Casa mistaka and I was overwhelmed with the wonderful and amazing products they have available for the consumer. I was very excited about seeing the quantity and variety of bottled chiles Salsas that they have as well as their produce and a complete meat department with a butcher that will cut your meat any way you want. The staff is amazingly courteous and professional I want to give my congratulations to the owners of this place and I highly recommend the shopping as well as the restaurant part of the store. Bravo casa mixteca keep doing a great job!
Best Mexican food in WA... no kidding, I'm Mexican and you only find this taste in LA, Tijuana and a taco truck (ricos tacos) in Tacoma... it doesn't look good from outside, even when you get inside it's like a regular mexican grocery store.... I even didn't wanna eat there before sitting down... but when I tasted it, oh man! Back to my Mexico... it was amazing! I will even bring my family... we're mexicans, we know what good food is, not like all those zillions of mexican restaurants and taco trucks that is for americans... If you are mexicancome to this place, esta riquisimo! Aqui si venden enfrijoladas y tacos dorados! I ordered Chilaquiles
Best Mexican food I have found in the greater Seattle! Highly recommend checking it out, the tamales and lengua tacos were spot on.
$4 a taco was a bit much but their Asada is really great, better than Pollo Cabeza, probably one of the best I've tried around here
Real Mexican food from Oaxaca , authentic mole, tamales, sopa, etc.
Cute store with unique items from Oaxaca. Beautiful clay dishes, mugs and pitchers and more. Woven baskets of various sizes and comales of multiple sizes. There is also a tiny restaurant. I've eaten multiple times and have had different experiences. Most times the food is to die for, very authentic and well executed with flavor and consistency. However, the last time I ate there all the food we ordered was sub par. I had mole enchiladas that were tough to cut with dry chicken inside. We'll keep going back in hope of getting the good food days.
Our Mexican pizza , Good mole Best part Tortas !! Yum
I'll give it a 3 for now to be nice. Service was good. A lot of menu items were not available so I settled for what was available. Got my order to go and I was missing part of it. Called after getting home and was told they forgot about it. They offered to credit me for the order but had to go back for it. Food was ok but I feel there is a healthy competition for great Mexican food in Renton.
